Sunday is my long day at the gym. As I am typing this, I am keeping an eye on the clock so I won’t be late for my 1:15 p.m. Body Pump class.
After 55 minutes of weight-lifting and ab workouts, I walk the track until my 3 p.m. Zumba class. After 55 minutes of shaking my money-maker, I spend another 55 minutes stretching it all out in yoga.
And then I go home and pass out. Often I am cranky. And by often, I mean almost always. Even after all the state of zen I should achieve during yoga, I am a little bitchy after nearly four hours of exercise.
But, it seems to get my week off to an active start, and it’s a source of pride that I have built up the stamina to handle it.
I am soooo looking forward to the warmer months, when I can replace all this indoor activity with walking outdoors, hitting golf balls and finally getting to use my favorite Christmas present this year: a tennis racquet!
